ok since my past entry i've had several people ask me what the *!@% lutefisk is.
lutefisk is a traditional Swedish/Norweigan "delicacy." that is often served around Christmastime. It's basically cod that has been dried and then soaked in a lye mixture for like a month or so, then skinned, boned and boiled. So it ends up with the consistency of jello. so "fish jello" is a good way of explaining it.
in my family, this lovely scandinavian main dish is served christmas eve along with potato sausage (beef, pork, potato and spices in a pork casing), lefse (a potato flatbread), limpa bread (sweet rye with raisins) and rennet pudding (a custard pudding made with rennet/rennin. if you really want to know what rennet is, go here).
makes you wish you were coming to my house for christmas eve doesn't it?

My humbling experience may be cryptic but it's a weird fucking story. It involves 2 naked women. I do not lie. I think that I discovered I was more old-fashioned than I though...
