so yeah...today was a lovely day in the richmond, too bad i have to work! but whatever...i'm in good spirits. i think i've learned whatever i've needed to in these past few weeks and now it's time to get back to business!
i have studio dates scheduled in new york and massachusetts next month where i get to play all the drums, guitars, chimes, bells, sitar, tabla and whatever else i can cram into the car for the ride down. i haven't recorded in a real studio since 2002 and this is the first time ever that i get to basically do everything...which is totally fun.
i have my 2 favorite bass players coming in to do bass on 4 of the tracks, as well as an el salvadorian MC for the bay area, and a ton of my old music friends from WMASS. once i have all the instruments captured, then when we move to LA i will have our producer abe take and remix all my midi tracks as well as the instruments....very exciting stuff for me.
there will also be a series of photo shoots. 2 separate ones in NYC and then one together in SF....so much to do! but i'm delighted that it's a labor of love....
