Occasionally, my ex-wife and I play chess either online of even over the phone. It's the only way we can have a conversation without leaving wanting the other person dead.
We used to play Jeopardy over the phone, but it's been a while... Anyway, our games are always regulated by a 1m hourglass (approx 30s first white, usually me. Yeah, the irony of it all is just too much sometimes...). In these games, as is typical, there were no time penalties. I take down notation so I can point out and mock her errors later.
