I'd like to post something interesting! Honest! Uh... Ok. I... My SO and I... Uh... I mean to say... Hmm... Well... Uh... See, my problem is I'm spreading myself too thin; I keep a regular post happy, stream-of-thought-frequent blog on my site, post random crap I find online to an LJ account, and post all my pictures to my DA account... So... I either have to drop my own site or just c+p everything I put there over here. Otherwise, I'm left with crap like... "Today was laundry day! Yay!"
Ok, here goes an attempt at an actual post... A friend of mine back in South Carolina had a baby Monday morning.
Which is strange... I don't remember her mentioning being pregnant. It's her second girl; now she has a pair of each. I have no idea how much she weighed, her name, or anything like that. WhyTF would someone attach 24 pictures and not one line of text? Just a "Welcome our latest addition!!!" subject line...
My wife and I have, of course, talked about having kids, but with all the pro-offspring talk her family is feeding her when I'm not around, I'll have to like... lay down the law or something. Before we got married, we decided we'd wait until she was at least 21 and finished with any school/college/etc obligations. And even that wasn't set in stone. I like to think I'm all for women who have career before bearing children. But, having spent all but the latest year and a half of her life in HK and mainland China, her culture-embedded view of a "woman's place" is very male dominant.
Anyway, work still sucks. I'm skipping out around noon every day this week because I'm a lazy ass... We're trying restaurants over in Little Italy this month to avoid the mid-late summer rush of tourists (they're all too dumb to wander beyond Chinatown until mid-June)... Eh... I had eggplant for a late lunch... was neither spectacular nor ghastly, so I won't bother mentioning where it was.
I also picked up an ass load of books from BN today! I'll skim a little of each one and figure out which I'll be reading first and which I'll use just to decorate my shelves.
Oh, btw, jellobiafra turned 29. It's his last year being young, so I expect you all to visit, comment, and otherwise make a fuss. Or else...

I understand what you mean about content in the age of multiple journals. It's a bitch sometimes.

post some of the good books, i'm looking for something to read over the summer....and as for kids, have lots! but train them well! obnoxious offspring will be summarily be executed, thus drastically reduce our reproduction rate!
