Where has the time gone? At least I've been having fun.
I still haven't heard back from the bank about the $2000. error on my account. They have issued a temporary credit, but they haven't told me that they decided in my favor yet. In the meantime, since I KNOW I didn't spend that $$$, I have been using it.
I went on my first ever white water rafting trip last weekend. Took Friday off from work and drove 6 hours up into Maine. Went to Crab Apple at The Forks. A group of 23 of us went. Spent 2 drunken nights there. It was great! Got to know some of the people in the group a bit better. One really liked me. We had a date last night, but I'm not feeling it. She's a great woman - we have the same sense of humor and we get along, but there's no spark.
Heidi was supposed to meet people Thursday night at The Roxy about a promotions job. They wanted her to bring some friends along, so she made me go. Let me explain - The Roxy is a dance club. For.... younger people. Thursday was 18 +. I felt like a dirty old man there. I'm sure I was being viewed by the children as though I was an old perv. We left after having one drink. Headed to Ten Prime. Felt much more at home there. An older, more sophisticated crowd.
Work has been insanely busy. I try to take comfort in the fact that our overnight guy will finally be back to work this week and our extra staff are almost all up to speed now. That means I won't need to spend so much time and energy on training (and scheduling training - and doing all the paperwork for the new hires) and I can do MY job again.
Time to go. It's raining and miserable out - but I have things to do and I'll make the most of it.
