Good night last night - but ended on a confusing note.
Went to "Wicked' - which was a great show, but I didn't like the whole "Hollywood-style Happy Ending." That was the good thing about plays and musicals, they never felt the need to end on a happy note. "Pal Joey" on Broadway ends with Joey walking away from the girl that loves him so he can pursue his wild life style. He doesn't want to settle down. In the film, he stays with her and they settle down for the white picket fence lifestyle. "Wicked," as a book, ends the way the "Wizard of Oz" does. This show had to come up with a happy ending.
The Gala afterwards was quite the spectacle. Great food from places around the city: Blaze / 10 Prime / Nick's / Pinelli Mara Group / Johnson & Wales and more. Wish the boss told me it was a Black Tie affair. I don't own a tux - I didn't even wear a suit since I've put on a few pounds and the ones in the closet are 'snug'. The 2 that fit are at the cleaners since I need them for the trip to Vegas later this month. Good thing I'm not that self-conscious.
Didn't go to Bevo afterwards. All of Heidi's (and, by extension, my) friends, wimped out. Which I was glad of, cuz we went to the Century instead to see Sasquatch. Even caught the midnight performance of the Dazzling Dames. Great show - loud hard edged rock-a-billy and the Dazzling Dames Burlesque (no match for the SG show at The Living Room last time I saw Sasquatch, thanks to bailey and sid and all the others that were there!!! - but great show).
Finally, the confusion: Heidi. We're supposed to be friends. We dated a while back. She was doing chemo (breast cancer survivor) and had no sex drive drive. I didn't push the subject. She said she knew I was looking for something deeper in a relationship, which she wasn't ready for, so we stopped dating. We're still friends and hang out. We flirt a bit. She has dated someone else - got serious with him and he cheated on her. She's still recovering from that. I drifted back to The Girl, and told her to leave, again. We're both dating other people now - nothing serious yet.
Last night, as we were saying good night, Heidi leaned in real close.... We hugged, for a long while. There was the awkward moment - then we kissed. I told her this wasn't good. Did I mention that she suggested a sleepover Christmas night - no sex, just snuggle together..... I passed on that one.
Why does she need this attention. I don't think she wants anything more than attention/affection from me. She's been telling me lately that her sex drive died after he ex cheated on her. So she wants me for affection, but not sex. I don't need the teasing and blue balls!

My lips are chapped too!
