I am generally anti-blog, but have been reading everyone's on here, and am being prompted to share (like in an AA meeting).
So... I'm taking a break from preparing for the Century Guild booth at San Diego Comic Con... (this is a press clipping from last year, when we were on the cover of the Friday Arts Section).
Here's what fun ensued in the past week:
Took Sioux and her friends Salome, Shere, Rei, and Coralee to the uber-baroque La Pomme Rouge so that she could scope out some shots for the shoot she was going to do with the lovely Beau a few days later... It's such a beautiful room, but I'd been out of the "nightclub scene" for so long that I had forgotten why I like staying home and reading so much. (There are very few crack addicts interrupting my evening at 1:30 am when I am safe in my library... But that's not to say it couldn't happen.)
The next evening Sioux and BinaryZen showed up with Dorsal for a shoot in my living room, and my dog fell hard in love and hovered near Dorsal's leg the whole night, and tore through the set disruptively with her tail wagging every time Sioux would get the tapestry laid out just right on the floor. (I do believe that there is a photo or two of the lovely pooch posing as a lighting model that I hope we will get to see! That's a hint, Sioux.) And if you catch them, get one of the girls to tell you about the peeping tom...
I was convinced that my dog was going to leave with Dorsal. That girl must have some crazy animal pheremones. Just think how the boys must react.
Now, I have to go write about the Grand Guignol and Alphonse Mucha and wait for Shere to call...
