My husband's employer is based in Maryland. They accidentally paid all his state taxes there instead of Oregon. When I tried to get the money back from MD, they sent the refund to the Fed for our student loans. So now our loans are that much closer to being paid off but that leaves me having to explain to the state of Oregon where all their money went. Good times.
