Money is the root of all that kills
They have never been poor
They have never had the joy of a welfare christmas
Although money doesn't buy happiness, someone else buying something off your wishlist really does. I got something so amazing in the mail for my birthday. I hadn't been checking it so it might have come a few days ago.
NoFi knows me far too well.
I can't wait to read it. It looks so good.
I'm feeling a lot better, not just because of getting a prezzie but also because some of you happened by my journal and reminded me that you care. Thanks to NoFi, Bibliachica, Dangerman, TheFreak and ToothpickMoe for being sincere in their concern. I really needed that.
Anyway, the bickering has subsided. I'm sure we'll be ok. Moving twice in three months is no good for anybody.
I think the first three months we were here were almost a wash as far as establishing friendships and getting a support system set up because there was too much chaos and family drama to feel at ease enough to start investing in those things. In a way, we're starting from scratch now that we have our own place.
And now some completely non-PRock related items:
I may order one of these Election Day Advent Calendars. I realize it's almost Election Day already but I think it's a really novel idea and a neat way to get out the vote.
Also, I read this today in News of the Weird :
Sometime next year, if all goes well, Brett Holm of Chaska, Minn., will begin selling his Season Shot, an improvement over current shotgun shells because its pellets dissolve on contact in the game meat and, more important, automatically flavor it for cooking. Holm told the Chanhassen Villager newspaper in August that he will initially offer lemon pepper, mesquite, Mexican, and Creole flavors, but, he said, chemists are at work right now to expand the selection.
I'm not sure what I think of that. You can't really deny though that it's a damn good idea.
That's about it for now. Still haven't gotten around to getting my hair cut. There's never enough time for everything on the list it seems.
Ooh, one more thing- I ♥ these:
they don't look like this:
i wish you a very happy birthday and wish we lived close so we could do lunch.
