so today i wake up at like 7:45am because i have to be at work at nine and i wanted to leave a bit early because the snow plows here don't seem to do jack shit to the roads. well it's like a blizzard outside and i'm thinking, yeah my car isn't going to do well in the snow and for what? to go to work and then have like two people come in to shop and they send me home early due to lack of business? so i call and the one manager is like, oh no the roads are fine, but why don't you come in at 10am instead of 9am? i'm like fine. so i watch the news, find out saddam was captured (finally!), and then the local news is like... oh the parkway is fine. so taking their word for it since my street looked like a goddamn ice rink, i venture out. it took me almost 20min. to get to 279 and then i get on there...

cars are spinning, some guy in a mercedes was stuck, a mustang was spinning around and almost got me, and several accidents of people crashing into the concrete barrier were spotted, so i'm like fuck this! i call the store because my car is struggling up the hills and i can feel my back tires slipping and losing traction, and the manager answers, "i'm like look, i can't come in today" and she's like oh yeah i just left a message for you at home, you didn't have to come. grrrrrr! so fuck it, i'm happy i didn't have to work but shit it took me a good 45min to get home and i was only about 15min from the house. so i creeped my way back and a few hours later i have cleaned the house, done laundry and now i'm making carribean jerk chicken on this cold and snowy day.

*sigh* oh well, at least i didn't wreck my car. so how is everyone else doing today? -taime xoxo
