Can I just say how annoying work can be? Perhaps vent a little?
I honestly love my job. I work at a small deli/sandwhich type place and it pays the bills alright while I go to school. With the beginning of another year, our store tends to slow down a little (everyone is over their big catered parties and is now trying to work off all the winter weight) so lately things have been kind of easy going. The unfortunate problem with that though is that laziness seems to run rampant because of it, and not even from the normal employees, but from management.
I've been a manager before. Hell, I've been in charge of soldier's entire lives overseas. So I know bullshit when I see it.
We've got some ladies that have worked at the store forever, so they feel entitled to special privledge, and often treat many of the normal guys like crap. I can understand supervision, but I also know everyone still has a job to do, and there is far too much passing the buck around our store.
I'm just a part-timer mostly, because I've got classes beginning again next week, and I consider myself a student first. I've been at the place 2 years though, so I've earned my spot and the respect of my coworkers, and generally don't get too much flak.
It just doesn't seem right for a higher up to fart around on their projects, and then try to critize everyone else on what they are doing. It's annoying and doesn't help solve anything. They also don't take responsibility for their own mistakes and try to blame everyone else, and that's what REALLY irks me.
gah, enough of that for now. Nice to get some of it off my chest though.

It's ok, I don't plan to stay here forever, but I'm certainly learning from it though.
Work is always going to suck. I love venting about it too haha.
