So the weekend comes to a close. Pretty relaxing for a change.
Friday night I ditched out on my work's pitchers and acoustic music (since I don't care for acoustic music or pitchers since i can't drink anything and drive and also didn't feel like being fake with clients...). My brother in law went out of town (and my sister is shooting in Vancouver) so i rescued their dog who is another pomeranian like mine (but MUCH noisier). Ended up not going out but handled getting our flyers out till 1am (since they didn't get cut down till midnight).
Slept in finally, ending my sleep deprivation run of about 12 days with no more than 5-6 hours a night. Felt really good. Tried to get our flyers scored and folded, but the place near me couldn't do it, so that will wait till monday and people can fold 'em themselves. Drove my sister's dog to my bro-in-law's brother's place to dogsit for the rest of the weekend. Then went out to my grandmother's in Riverside. Did lots of laundry and helped fix things around her house.
Slept in again! Went to her retirement community's dining room (its this village for retired military officers, very nice and upscale near March Air Reserve Base). It was Seafood sunday. Stuffed myself silly with shrimp scampy, salmon, scallops, fried shrimp, shrimp cocktails, and pancakes (it was brunch, had to have some pancakes). Then finished fixing things around her house and visiting with her. Drove home. Did a little accounting. Drove to Deep in Hollywood to get paid by two people. Little Louie Vega was playing, very good house music! Saw this cute girl that I think I've been "friends" with for too long to make it anything but that. Oh well, the search goes on...
Our event website should be up in a day or two, I'll put a link for those interested. If your into electronic music gotta check our event out and also (or even more so) Monster Massive. Both will be a blast. Monster already is up about 10,000 tickets sold. Probably be 20,000 in attendance.
Oct 23, gotta celebrate someone special's b-day! She needs to let us know where she might want to go. My usual Wed hangout is Release, but thats house music so you indie kids might not dig it, so feel free to make a better suggestion.
