Kisses for my friends!!
It's been a looong day for me and I'm pretty much hittin' the sheets after I post this. I apparently need to learn to detach myself from the computer again. I was doing so well up until I "met" SG.
Just a couple little things. . .
I know this causes confusion so I'm hoping I can clear this up. I am currently in San Diego, CA. I'm crazyass lazy and when I created my profile, I did it with the foresight that I would be moving to PA. So. . . currently in CA. Moving cross country to PA. My last day in San Diego is slated to be Friday April 20th. A week from tomorrow. I really ought to book myself a moving company, neh? Well, I'm still getting a barrage of phone calls from moving companies so I suppose it's not too late to book myself one.
So in a way, my profile at SG is living in the future!!
Oh, and to prevent a question I know I'll get: why on earth am I leaving San Diego for Philly? The short answer is that I'm relocating for my job. The long answer is much more involved and maybe I'll share tidbits as time goes on.
The other: thanks SO much for the advice on my pictures!!!!! It's funny-- I love love love the camera. I do the "not-looking-at-the-camera" thing not because I'm camera shy (believe me, far from it!!!) but because my father, who was my photographer up until a few years ago, insisted all my photos were to be of me looking at the camera and smiling. 25-some years of that and one gets sick of the same bloody pose/expression! So while this isn't new to you,the freedom to look how I want is new to me. That's why I was doing it. However, I realize it's excellent advice and I'm employing it. Actually, the pictures I've taken this week have a lot of looking-at-the-camera shots anyway.
Thank you all for your compliments and suggestions and your support. You're really giving me the confidence to send more pictures in for another shot at going official. I'm not sure if I want to wait and compile a couple more weeks of random photos before doing so. I have big plans for my new apartment, including keeping a corner clear so I can take pictures however I want. Apparently there is an "issue" (if you could call it that) with my legs being "so long" that it's hard to get them in a picture with the rest of my body and be close enough to see my face clearly. (shrug) It would help if I had more room to spread out.
I have three (I think they're FANTASTIC!) ideas for sets already. I don't want to waste them before becoming official, though, so I'm antsy now.
Gonna post some pics tomorrow but my hubby was so nice to resize these for me that I promised I'd post at least one tonight.
(See, I'm not scared of no stinkin' camera!)
(My legs don't even fit into this shot, wtf!)
(My deep dark terrible secret revealed: I am a glasses-wearing bergeek!)
Until tomorrow!
XOXO
