Been home alone many times while my husband was active duty and people think we spouses get used to it, but we don't EVER! Every time he left it felt like the first. And now that he's finishing off his last couple years for retirement in the Reserves it's still the same bullshit. No phone contact and traveling to bullshit destinations for training they won't need anytime soon (in Reserves). But I understand completely and am being supportive. Just missing him like crazy and having "blackouts" with NO contact what so ever sucks! I adore my husband. He is my ultimate lover and my best friend. ♡ (Thanks for letting me rant y'all!) 💋

I was active and am now in the reserves and the distance/separation/no contact definitely sucks. He's lucky to have a woman that supports him and what he does. Not many people understand the sacrifices associated with serving in the armed forces.

It has to be tough to be the wife and family of a serviceman. You make so many sacrifices and live a life that is at times lonely and full of anxiety. You rant all you want too. You have earned the right.
