Today, my mom threatened to eat my soul if I touched her cake. To be fair I'd have said the same thing. I probably get the whole vague threat of physically impossible violence thing from her as one of my favorite things to say when I'm angry is "I'll drop kick you to Mexico". Although I'm fairly sure that being nuts is a genetic trait from both my parents, my dad's side is more passively crazy. More verbally playful than the insanity that runs on my mom's side. It's a mite peculiar, I inherited my temper, occasional violent streak, and toughness from my moms while I get my patience, refinement and kindness from my pops. That might account for a little of my rebellion against gender normality, but they also churned out two normal.... well normal is a bad word, two other boys that seem accepting of traditional gender roles in society. But, that's just another notch in the belt for that age old psychological discussion of Nature vs Nurture.
Plus KITTENS! They are adorable because you can't train them not to walk into proportionate traffic and get hit by adorable little cars.
