I'm listening to a record of old weird German cabaret music from the 20's and 30's. Setting the mood for a glamourous evening. I wish I had a woman in garters standing on my desk right now.
Saw the Dali exhibit yesterday which was entirely amazing. Some of it made me want to cry.
Afterward, all my Dad could say was, "He was a pretty sick dude, wasn't he?" I got a little nauseous for a second.
The exhibit inspired me to write in my new moleskine for many hours last night and today i felt very dreamy and wore my springiest shoes.
Tonight i had dinner with my friend who is becoming a pop star in China. He's had one hit single there and starred in a film and he came back to NYC for 2 weeks to do some recording. I'm so thrilled for him and amazed at how different our musical lives are halfway around the world. He sang for 30,000 people recently at a stadium, and I'm thrilled if I get 40 to show at some dive bar.
Yay i'm buying a new guitar this weekend.
