So, over the weekend, I went to a Civil War site that was closest to my home before going to Pittsburgh.
After all of the issues that have been going on over the course of the previous week, I needed some semi-me time.
This location, which is south of Lisbon, is the site where during the Civil War, the Confederates went the farthest north they could before being forced to surrender.
While it is not the most storied ground (there is a business and a private residence squeezed to it), I felt it was important in its own right because it shows the consequences of what hate and intolerance can do.
