yeah yeah, this is post two of today.
i'm not hungover anymore... because i'm drinking some high life.
i work in the morning and i'm not looking forward to it one bit.
but i got a lot of stuff done this week.
the other day i cleaned out the garage, mowed the lawn and washed my car. and i don't remember what day it was but i put this back massager/warmer back together after fixing it. it's pretty nice to have. and this evening, i was going to go blow some money on a movie or something, and ended up going to home depot and lowes and getting some things for the garage. there was part of a shelf out there, but it didn't have support, so i went and got some, also got an extension cord, a thermometer, a level, and probably something else. and i fixed the shelf and set up the cisco switch (well i haven't set it up entirely, i just plugged it in to see if i could hear it inside), and moved the computer that i have designated to console into the switch down there also.
{can i ssh into that computer and then console into the switch???}
i'm not planning on hooking a monitor up to it. but i do have some speakers that i might hook up to it. maybe for streaming music... i don't know... maybe for an alarm. (no not security, i'm talking for temps or other system errors) i'm really not sure.
but i'm going to work on it some tomorrow after work. and sometime soon i'm going to buy a big roll of cat5 cable and some ends and a crimper and start making my own custom length ethernet cables.
i think i'm going to move the server down to the garage too. again, i'm not sure. i've really got to monitor the temperature in there before i start moving a bunch of equipment. there's a hole in the ceiling going up to the attic. it's covered right now with some insulation. but i might end up putting a box fan there to draw heat up.... it's been rainy and not very hot lately
i need a super comfy stool to sit on while i'm down there.
might be getting an iphone too. my friend stepped on hers nd is going to see how much it will be to have it repaired... (she already bought a new one) and then sell me the old one. which means i need to go and get a hard disk and some ram for my mac and actually install something on it.
i need to make more money.... bleh.
wish i had something i could sell.
