Ok, I'm getting bored with the same routine.

1. Wake up/breakfast/shower
2. Bubble wrap
3. Packing tape
4. Boxes
5. Search the pantry for dinner (still got the canned ham and pumpkin pie filling...)
6. Go to bed

Thank goodness my family is coming over for a visit. Someone to talk to (other than my cats) while packing might make this week go by faster....

Hey there!

I'm whipping out the welcome wagon early! I hope that the move goes well for you, and I know I speak for our really cool group up here when I say Welcome! and that we can't wait to meet you!! We met your madman, and all hit it off instantly! ( At least we think so, I can only hope he said nice things about us... wink )

Good luck with the move...iit's not long now, right?
kriss:
mind the gap... have you read Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman??

I have a signed copy of his book and that was his quote to me!!

hope move goes well!!

The universe hates me. It will not let me sleep in. Ever.

Oh I try...but then I get the 630 AM call...that's a wrong number. Or my dentist calling at 800 AM, reminding me of my appointment next week. Don't even get me started on telemarketers.

Ok, so it's Monday, but I really needed to sleep in. Last week was crazy-busy with the closing on...

Boxes and bubble wrap. That's been my life this weekend. Buried under, tripping over, packing and shopping for boxes.

And it's cold this weekend. WTF??

Should I go to the grocery store or just try to finish what's in the pantry? Hmmm...I've got a canned ham and pumpkin pie filling. And lots of Cheerios.

Thank goodness - only two more weeks 'til the move. biggrin
kriss:
only two weeks....

YEAH!!!

If you had to write down, from memory, a list of everything you own, could you do it? I don't think I could.

Packing has been interesting. When did I get 18 placemats? Have we always had these tennis raquets? Are spices from 2001 still good?

It's not until you have to pack up your life and move that you discover how much breakable stuff...

I woke up with my sexy Brenda Viccaro voice this morning.

(Which means I'm sick, stopped up and have a sore throat, but I like saying it the other way.)

Sexy Brenda Viccaro usually leads to a complete loss of my voice, so I probably won't be at work this week. It's not possible to keep 25 kids in line without a voice. I know...

Ouch. My brain hurts. I just finished watching the DVD special features for the movie "The Name of the Rose". I love watching behind the scenes stuff - interviews, background, the whole nine yards.

However the main documentary on this disc has my head spinning. It is a German documentary about the French director who brought an Italian author's book to the screen, which was...

No, but I did have that song stuck in my head for some reason (the Motley Crue version, of course). I HAD to write it down, you know!

Ok. Back from vacation, finally. I went to the Wilmington "Fried Food Fun with a side order of Shopping" Azalea Festival on Sunday, and it was wonderful. The weather was sunny and perfect, the smell of funnel cakes was in the air, and the (three) azalea bushes on the riverfront were in bloom.

Now I'm back in the real world, dealing with selling the house....

Egads! I just got my health insurance bill and - Happy Birthday to ME - my premium went WAAAAAAY up.

I just turned 35. So far, that hadn't really meant very much. I mean, I got some nice cards and birthday gifts, but otherwise it was a pretty normal day.

To my insurance company, however, turning 35 was a big deal. For as much as...

I'm waiting for it. I'm hoping for it. The next time George W. Bush talks about the "culture of life", I hope God will knock some sense into him with a well placed bolt of lightening.

I am not very political, but I have to voice my opinion on this subject. I can't take the hypocracy any more. How can someone who is VERY pro-death...

My house has turned into Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom. I have two cats, and while they're not friends, they haven't been evil to each other, until recently. I don't know what started it, but more often than not now there are growls and hissing whenever the two cross paths.

I don't like it. They are both my babies, and now they are fighting. Nothing...

Well, I feel like we've taken a big step towards actually moving - we have an offer on the house. Of course, there are any number of things that could go wrong, so I'm trying not to get too excited.

I'm very conflicted about moving. I have lived in Alabama most of my life, and I love my house. It's our first house, just the...
