Hey there, Sports fans...
Let's begin with Nascar: A little bit of a crash in Washington, D.C. early morning on 4 May. Congressman Kennedy crashed into a barrier at approximately 2:45am. He's okay... got a lift from a friendly Capital Police officer and is getting his stories straight as we speak. In fairness to the Congressman, he WAS on his way to a vote.
The Red Sox beat Toronto tonight, but one has to wonder about the bullpen. Sianez and Tavarez made for some jumpy moments in the latter innings, but Jonathan Papelbon put the hijinx to a merciful end. But, as you and I know, it's only a good day if the Yankees LOSE.
The Boston Bruins are not playing. So, they're not losing! And that is always a good thing. Same for the Celtics. Is there any need to further discuss this? I didn't think so.
On the homefront, the Viral Olympics have begun to cease: The Boy has stopped his distance spewing at 2 days, and the di-di has come to a close. He looks better and can eat solids without losing his short pants. Mom took home the bronze in the chunk-blowing... nice form but not nearly enough game. The Girl has a fever at present and it looks like a weekend of hit or miss will rule the day. Let's not forget the Chief Douchebag of this Crapstastic Mountain... he'll be cowering in a corner of the arena seeking out his "happy place".
In Entertainment news: Rush and Keiko Matsui will release new recordings (it is presumed) before the year is out. Now, those two acts may seem like prog/ porno stars to simple N'Oleans supersmug hickfuckfolk, but to this reporter, they is da real thing. (Insert T.Best laugh here)
