today, the rain was slow. sometimes it is heavy and relentless, othertimes it is gentle and delicate. today it was just slow; falling in big drops the size of coins in one, two, three drops at a time. because of the warmth, the drops were just brief visitors. they stained your shirt for a few moments and then were gone. i love the rain, perhaps because I live in the dryest State in the dryest continent. it is always welcome, washing the air and earth, making everything clean and bright and cool.
