Yeah, I'm 28. I celebrated it Saturday with drunken karokee (Asshole by Dennis Leary), and alot of drinking, cake, walking to bars that had somewhat good music, and more drinking. I haven't been too big on the birthday celebration thing since 2001 when my special day was forever fucked up by terrorists. I've tried to go out for the last few years, proclaiming that "If I can't get drunk, then the terrorists have won!", but it still seems weird.

On a totally unrelated note, I've tried to start dating again. Sad to say, but as one of my best friends said to me recently, I just seem happier single. Part of me agrees with that, especially with the last few dates I've gone on. I've gone on a date with a super-vegetarian who hates the killing of animals, and a few dates with a religious girl that wants kids badly. I want to enjoy my marriage, not just have kids asap. I want to be able to get a house, go out with my wife, maybe some vacations, etc, and as soon as you put kids into that equation, the fun ends. Fuck that, I want to have a little fun (no pun intended, well, maybe a little) with my wife before we settle down and become "true" adults and release our spawn upon the world.
