It has been a while since I updated my journal on here!
Being out of the country two weeks out of March had a lot to do with that. I was in Florida for a week, and before that I was on a NIN road trip for a week seeing three concerts with some other hardcore Nine Inch Nails fans. We went to London, Erie, and Rochester shows.
The NIN road trip was fucking amazing and something I'll never forget. A lot of fun things happened and it was great living an entirely different lifestyle for a week. For the full story check out my detailed blog on MySpace.
A few highlights included meeting fans from all over the US and Canada, filming the concerts and interviewing the interesting characters waiting in line all day long, bumping into a NIN roadie at a restaurant who gave me a NIN guitar pic and chatted for a bit, and getting to pet Trent Reznor's head twice when he came down to the audience during 'Piggy' in Erie Pennsylvania. Two of my carpoolers also got to hang out with the band on the tour bus after the Rochester concert. All in all it way exceeded our expectations.
Those of you who are members of the Spiral fan club can go see my 1-hour tour videos - they are in my signature as well as in the post-show threads on the message board.
This summer I'm seeing four NIN amphitheatre concerts in June: wantagh NY & saratoga NY one weekend, and then Toronto and Detroit the following weekend. Hooray! I'll chat with familiar faces in line again - and of course get totally blown away by one of the best live acts on the planet. If you get a chance, go see one of their shows. Ticketmaster tickets just went on sale today.
Here's a video snippet I took at the Rochester concert. To improve the sound quality I combined it with a London concert audio bootleg, but it matches up quite well. Watch Aaron North leap into the audience during 'March of the Pigs'!

ENJOY!
By the way has anyone here seen Defy live in concert yet? I'm really curious to see them soon.
