I'm currently trying to mix the session of the girl I recorded the other night. She's a great singer, but a crap guitarist. She turned up without a tuner, and her guitar was crap. It shows. She also speeds up and slows down all over the place - granted she wanted to record 'as live', and a click track was out of the question. Also, she keeps looking down at her guitar during anything that requires a bit more concentration to play... which means she faces away from the mic... which means the vocals suddenly sound really flat.
