Blasting Warren Zevon wakes me up efficiently, as does the enormous cup of black coffee my coffee maker just churned out (how the hell did I survive student life before the coffee maker?!)
I don't have a lecture until 1:30, but I've got some stuff to do...
-Register for a GP to get a second opinion on this sleep (or lack thereof) business.
-Contact a few letting agencies to enquire about properties for next year.
-Drop into the student accommodation office to ask about staying here through the summer.
-Walk to the Barfly and book tickets for My Vitriol (I've spent way way WAY too much money on gig tickets already, but fuck it)
-Get my CV around a number of employers and try and get a job and also peruse the Job Centre website.
-Find someone who does setups on classical acoustic guitars in Liverpool.
-Go to Lime Street station and do some field recording of the ambience and noise in the station for use in the upcoming theatrical production I'm doing the sound for.
Busy day ahead, but I'm off to see Jeffrey Lewis again tonight, which is going to be amazing.
Weezer just announced a date, playing a festival in Korea... they'd better stop off in the UK on the way over. Also, Yo La Tengo announced a "Freewheelin' YLT" tour date in London which I can't attend, so I really hope they do another. For those not in the know, the Freewheelin' YLT tour is the band playing more or less acoustically, crowd interaction is strongly enouraged, totally unplanned, and request are taken all night for what songs to play.
Yeah, I need a job to fund my music addiction. I genuinely believe a crack habit would be cheaper to maintain.
xx
