I have always had cats as long as I can remember. My fuzzy companions have been there for me at my lowest times when friends seemed scarce and I desperately needed a cuddle. I couldn't imagine a night without my cuddles and I don't think I will ever live a life without cats in it. Here is my homework about my pets @missy @rambo
Harlequin is three years old this summer. She is a short haired Tortie and she is a very small full grown cat. I went to the pet store to buy a new toy for our male cat and saw her in the window. I was immediately in love with her, and within the first few moment s of starting she slow blinked at me. (which in cat behavior is like saying I love you) I absolutely had to have her come home with me. So against my better judgement and the strict opinion of my husband that he only wanted to have male cats I held her and never let her go. She wasn't much of a cuddle when she first came home, given that she was fostered in a house with many other cats i wasn't totally surprised that she didn't need my attention. I was just about ready to burst with my second child when she came home and I think that the hormones I gave off were interesting to her. She started sitting with me on the couch and grooming my hair whenever she got the chance and before I knew it she was laying across that baby bump like it was her own perch. Nowadays she is my shadow, she follows me to do the dishes and laundry, she snuggles up on the couch to watch anime and she sleeps within arms reach of me because I'm usually giving her a little love as I fall asleep. She doesn't really play with the kids and have as much fun as our other cat but I adore her.
The Cheat will be five in August. He was born on a farm at the same time as two other litters , more than 30 kittens in total all running around crazy. I saw an ad in the laundry mat about free kittens needing homes right away and I had to go check it out. Our cat Reggae (shown above with The Cheat as a kitten) was getting old and we were ready to get him a companion for the end of his life. The Cheat was one of the first kittens I saw on the farm, he was running around with his tail in the air and curled up like a question mark. I thought he was adorable and spunky, which is totally part of what I look for in a pet. I didn't know at the time that he was only as smart as a small dog and drools when he gets happy. We named him after STRONG BAD'S pet because we both loved that flash website before we ever met. He is the most lovable idiot and he is afraid of his own shadow. He is a very big cat weighing in at 18 lbs, not really fat just dense and muscular. He has grown up his entire life with Aurora (my 5 year old) and he is just a sweet rag doll that loves to play with the kids. I am so glad that he joined our family and that he gets to be my "stinker".
The Cheat even posed with me in my debut set Overcast Harvest but then he got scared and hid until the end of the set
