Well I am still very green to the site and I only have two sets so far. I really do love both of the sets I have submitted but I think that Canvas shows off more of my personality. I love to paint, it has been my primary outlet for my emotions for the past 6 years or so. My paintings don't usually start with an idea of what they will become. I like to choose a color pallet and let it just happen. So when I thought about how I wanted people to see me on the website I thought it would be kind of romantic to become one of my paintings and just let the set blossom naturally.
The day of the set I didn't pack anything except my lip gloss and a spare t-shirt and panties, because every other shoot I have ever gone on I have totally over packed. I went to my art studio early to set up my work space and work on the painting I would use for it. I remember having butterflies in my stomach as I set my artwork all around, I felt a little bit exposed showing my artwork and myself to a photographer I had never met in person. (for the record, my husband always goes on shoots with me, I was totally safe)
He was great! My photographer is a teacher so he wants to remain anonymous. He was super professional and we got along great :) I put my IPod on random and after some really good conversation we got down to business. I wore a white t-shirt and jeans because my husband always says he loves the way I look in them. I was so comfortable and at home in the arts studio, it just felt right:)
The paint behave better than I could have imagined. I just used my regular acrylic paints and just picked out ones that don't contain heavy metals. I thought for sure I was going to regret some spur of the moment brush stroke and that I would need to wash it off and repaint it. No need to stop though for once my painting just worked out :D I felt like a goddess the whole time, my photographer gave me great direction when I needed it but for the most part he just let me do my thing. I hope to shoot with him again in the future and I even recommended him to my girl @lightssuicidehopeful and he shot her second set too.
Canvas went live in Member Review on feb 28 and I have been getting wonderful responses to it so far. I am so thankful for all of the love and support being sent my way. I feel so excited to go out and shoot more sets and come up with some cool new themes. I have some cool ideas and two new shoots coming up soon, keep your eyes open for the previews ;)
P.S. I love these blog themes, I am going to do my best to write every one <3
