The last two days have been remarkable in that I didn't work. Two whole days in a row! I feel like I might be in trouble when I get back...
Anyways, on Monday I was supposed to go visit my friend who pretty much lives on a small island. But I didn't. Instead I went to the family farm for a barbeque. Some of my cousins have returned home from Hawaii, so we all decided to get together and eat salmon. Mmm... It was so good. My brother bought a brand new barbeque. I took lots of photos, but I'm not happy with very many of them. And since I highly doubt anyone in my family would ever want their photos posted here at SG, I'll just show you the blueberries on the table and the chicken with the afro again.
Today (Tuesday), I went to that island that I mentioned earlier. I figured it would be an ideal place to take photos of a ukulele. I also tested out using some reflectors to light up the side of the instrument. This was the best I could do with such small relectors and no lackeys to hold them.
For the first part of the visit, all we did was sit on the patio and read (or take photos).
After that, we went for a hike. Packing an instrument and a big camera up a mountainside is not as much fun as not packing an instrument and a big camera up a mountainside. That's all I'll say about that.
But it's all worth it for the view. And this is a new hiking trail. It's incredible. Incredible enough for me to want to stick my goofy-looking face in front of the lens. Look:
And here's the view when it's not being spoiled by a loser:
And since we're in such a lovely place and have a ukulele with us, why not play it?
And then down the hill for a beer and a boat ride to the marina. I have a bit of a sunburn now and some very sore muscles from trying to do flips on my family's new trampoline. All of this wiped me out and I almost fell asleep waiting to get on the damn Lions Gate bridge. But now I'm home and my bed is just a few feet away... I'm gonna sleep well tonight.

yeah, that's it.
and hey, no such thing as too much work right? at least, so long as it comes with too much money. when i get past this current round of debt, i'm going to try hoard monies so that i can at least create the illusion of having mad stacks.
