today was considerably better than yesterday. i spent a solid amount of time browsing ebay in search of a shoe style for prom. i bought my dress last week. everything i found was not in my size. damn my tiny feet. i did, however, come across a pair of horrid boots that i love. just look at them. they sort of resemble a cat tied into a slipper. and yet i am so drawn to them. alas, wrong size. i also looked for some type of flamingo related shirt which lead no where. i'm going to have to design my own shirt. i did come upon a horribly embroidered flamingo bathing suit. for a mere $45. i'm baffled.

the majority of this afternoon was spent learning maya. after playing around with the maya mentor program for a while, i sought out some tutorials. after failing miserably at a giraffe and a shampoo bottle, an eighth of a tennis ball was born. being a perfectionist will either work to my advantage here, or drive me entirely insane. i must have spent three hours trying to perfect this eighth of a sphere. all those vertices to place exactly right! my goal is to create a model of a flamingo by week's end. modelling. then textures. this excites me. i've been coasting the past couple months. i require some new knowledge.

i picked up this quarter's issue of another magazine. it is one of the most inspiring magazines i read. the photography is always so well done. i recommend checking out craig mcdean's shots. they are available on the website under fashion. 3rd and 5th photo.

acetracer hooked me up with more writing work which pleases me. the extra money will certainly come in handy. i'll have to put off boycotting web work for a while longer.

oh yes. i tried anarchy online today. what is supposed to be good about this game? i couldn't get passed the horrible graphics. i made a nanomage nano-technician. but i just couldn't get into it at all.

i'm super happy dyme's set went up today. congratulations sweetie. she was so much fun to shoot. we had such an epic time fighting the bees. or the man on the bike in search of trails. that day i forgot my jacket at the location we shot at. it was really far from my apartment, and with no car i couldn't go back. i month later i returned to shoot a set of miesha. the jacket was still there. and horribly sun bleached on one sleeve. i was sad. and this is my favourite photo from the set:
