Monday was the most important day of my life. So far at least. In a few years, I'm sure it'll be different but Monday was of great importance. No, it wasn't because Halo 3 came out at Midnight, though I really would have loved to have had it then.. Monday was important because it was the day I became an official Permanent Resident of the United States. This massive load of stress that's been hovering around me for two years evaporated in an instant. Everything went so smoothly that I almost feel silly for worrying so much. I'll admit it was a little anti-climatic. But I'm sure as soon as my Welcome to America letters arrives, as well as my official permanent resident card, that'll change. Yay! No more immigration! I can leave the country and get back in! No more fears of Agents arriving at my door and trying to deport me! Hurray!
So the next afternoon I got Halo 3, played from like 4 until 11 and got through most of the campaign. I think I have two missiosn left to play through. Did a little multiplayer but I am sooo terrible! And I am completely embarrassed that everyone can easily look up my stats. I'm sorry I kill so many friendlies! I've always been bad at Halo games though. So much that I stop playing them. I really need to work on my aiming. As far as missions go though, the Covenant mission has been my favorite solely because we get to fly Hornets. I loved fighting in the sky. Sad it's almost done though and that I've only played it twice since I got it.
Work is still awesome. I'm really excited to go to New York. I only wish it was for longer than 1 night! I kind of want to leave from NY and go north up to Toronto and visit my family for Canadian Thanksgiving, and then back to SoCal on Sunday. I haven't been home in 3 years. Totally ridiculous. But it's a matter of affording it.
I got a haircut and my nails did. Here are some photobooth photos of it:
