It all started with a video game rental innocently enough. A colorful, festive animal with hypnotic eyes of pure joy stared back at me, urging me to just give it a try. What harm can it have, Neeeey? Yeah. What harm? Well. Let's see. For one, try explaining how frustrated you are that your Bunnycombs keep getting eaten by Pretztails, or how you spent a solid hour romancing Quackberries so you could feed them to the Pretztails, and thus romancing them, all to achieve Master Romancer status. Ever better, showing off your Bunnycomb named Bunnyfluff that you've accessorized with a party hat and scarf. I guess this would all be fine and dandy if I were an 8 year old, but man, do I feel like a super dork. Now all I want is for a stupid Doenut to join my garden, love their disco house and make baby doenuts. Can someone please send a Doenut to Posh Play? I've spent 3 evenings encouraging them with long grass and delicious Gooseberries. Alas, the noble creature comes in, eats a couple berries and freakishly runs away. I can't believe I'm enjoying Viva Pinata quite so much. But eh, it's something to do before the Burning Crusade is unleashed.
So I have been up to that, and leveling sad little Night Elf Priest on Dark Iron. The last AV weekend was rad, and my Mage got some decent gear upgrades through uber honor and a UBRS run. It's just come to the point where running anything is kind of pointless, since the quest rewards from the early BC quests are even better. But goodness, the Eye of the Beast trinket was worth the few hours in there. Just looking at my beta characters gear makes the current ones look so crappy. So soon!! Magic Camp! The TCG got a new pet for my Mage. A tiny hippogryph for my ridiculous collection! I was pretty excited about that.
Apart from that, I've been doing the usual color/photoshop work. Developing color profiles for sets is so incredibly satisfying. Sean's sets are especially great for that, as I've got a decent amount of creative freedom. I think it'd be fantastic to get started at a fashion magazine with these skills and move up from production artist. A really generous member purchased a Wacom tablet off of my wishlist, and I have no idea how I ever worked without it.
Anyway, time for a glass of my 2002 Archipel Red and some delicious dark chocolate.
Oh, and here is a photo from New Years, featuring the awesome Diesel jacket I got for Christmas.
And here is a poor quality video of the Doenut Romance Dance.

I discovered awhile ago that the only game that can keep me going for more than a few hours at a time is none other than Super Mario World. I really like that you can play the levels over and over again if you like, and you can beat them in a different way each time.
I had someone give me a tour of their WoW account the other day, and it made me extremely glad that I have yet to succumb to it. I can tell already that it would become an unhealthy addiction.
That's the best xbox360 game which has been ever done.
