Ken Layne's DESERT ORACLE RADIO is a labor of love from the US American Southwest--he can't be in it for the money! He's a columnist and commentator and a compelling NOVELIST as well, and the podcast is a relatively new venture. It's a showcase for a lot of high weirdness and it brims over with love for the desert landscape and habitat. You might try one hilariously excellent episode, #025 UFOS ON THE JUNGIAN DESERT, for a great sample of what the show does.
