So so so.
I meant to upload this a couple of weeks ago, as they are no longer a 'new' addition to our household, but say hello to my Mom and Dad's new puppies; Henry & Molly...
They are really into chewing stuff at the moment, especially my feet. They're so cute that you let them off though. Like they try and climb inside the dishwasher when you open it and stuff. Cuteness in a fur ball.
This of course was a kneejerk reaction to the death of Ted, my beloved Yorkshire Terrier, who was put down merely 5 days before the arrival of these two. At first I was horrified with the thought of replacing him, but the fact is that we're a dog household, we always have been, and with me and my sister being all growed-up and rarely in, the house felt very empty. I love them. They are allowed out for walks on Wednesday, which I can't wait for.
By far the most exciting news of my life to date though, has now been confirmed and therefore I can reveal it; Kogii is moving to Birmingham.
Today I am the happiest girl in the world. We went to look at a room for her on Saturday morning, which was great, and consequently she signed the lease for it today. She moves in on 1st February. This was wonderful, as we had visions of looking around millions of skanky bedsits before she found anything, and this was the very first one she looked at. Then she needed to open a new bank account, which she did, and finally we went handing out CV's.
After our day of growed-up stuff, we went to see King Kong and halfway through she gets a phonecall which sends her galloping (I use the word literally) out of the room. She comes and sits back down and whispers "I've got an interview at Wagamama tomorrow at 5pm". What a result.
So late this afternoon I go sit in Starbucks to kill time while she's being grilled by the noodle-man, I drink coffee and eat a muffin, I buy her favourite chocolate chunk shortbread, and then she calls me to tell me that she's out already. She's got the job. She starts the week after she moves in.
I can't believe that this has happened like this. We were both getting really worried about where she would live and she was worrying about not being able to find work, so I really wanted things to work out with all the organising stuff. We are so so happy, and I can't wait for her to be here. I know it's gushing and sloppy, but such has been my journal for the last six months. The best six months of my life, for many reasons - the biggest of which being her, and the way she loves me. I've never EVER been happier.
