Saw Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy tonight.
I liked it.
I think the problem that most people who did not like it possibly stems from only having been exposed to the book.
Having read the books, seen the BBC TV show, heard the rado play, and played the Infocomm computer game I am aware that each time HHG gets translated into a new medium the story changes some what. So i was not expecting a perfect celluloid translation of the book. It was a fun movie, Zaphoid rocks, and unlike most mainstream comedies it didn't spend the entire film going 'look theses are the jokes, aren;t they funny joke?' It just told a story, it just so happens the story is weird enough it can't help but be funny in bits.
