It's Festival Time here in the British Virgin Islands. Festival is celebrated each year in mid July through August to celebrate the Emancipation from British control. A Festival Village has been set up in the capital city, Road Town. Events and bands change daily. There is also a carnival with rides and vendors selling alcohol and fatty, heart stopping foods. There is something magical about a carnival or fair. I am always drawn in by the neon lights, blaring music and fun kiddie rides with blinking lights. I don't care about the pageants, parades or competitions. I want to ride the ferris wheel and act like a kid. Running from ride to ride with anticipation. I will try to take some pictures of things as I see them. I am hoping to get a camera soon.
