I am still sick. I haven't eaten in almost 24 hours but still am able to throw up. How does that happen? It's torture being sick and being able to hear the waves crash on the beach at the same time. In my delirious state, I can almost hear the sea call my name. I decide to drown that out by listening to the SG radio podcasts that I have stored on my i-Pod. I listened to the 27 March 2006 show again. I just love the Manko segments. This one in particular is my favorite, it even tops the origins of Santa Claus, which I thought nothing could. She talk about absinthe. It was quite interesting that I chose that episode. It seems as if the green fairy is been following me around this days. I must confess, I have never drank absinthe. I see it everywhere I go. It must be popular on the island because it is everywhere. Lately everywhere I turn, someone is offering me a drink. There is a local barman who always tries to get me to drink absinthe. I always say no, it not that I am scared of the absinthe but I question his intentions. I am always overly cautious, maybe that why I always feel bored. This is how the green fairy seems to me, not the sweet Kylie Minogue fairy as seen in Moulin Rouge. I think of the green fairy as sexual, luring and deviant. Maybe I am on the edge of madness though.
