I dream in color. I dream in real time. I dream in what I call the Salvador Dali effect.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have been having a lot of dreams lately. Usely more than one per sleeping period. I have always had dream that were in great detail, ever since I can remember. I find this to be a treasure. My dreams have helped me in so many ways. My dreams help me deal with problems and emotions. My dreams help me resolve unresolved issues and probably keep me sane. Like the title of this journal entry says, I always dream in color, vivid colors. I dream in real time, everything in my dreams happen in a reality type format. I have always heard, even from doctors and people who study dreams. That dreams happen very quickly usually within seconds even though they seem to last all night. I don't know if that applies to me. My dreams sometimes start one night, I wake up and they began where they left off the next night. I could just be dreaming the same segment over and over and then it changes the next night. I don't really know. That isn't the point of the random spewing of my dreams or after thought of them. Now coming to the point of the Salvador Dali reference. Anyone who has studied Dali or knows anything about him knows of his muse, Gala. Gala was a fascination for Dali, a business manager, some say the person who kept him sane and eventually Gala became his wife. A Dali painting usually has two things in them, Gala and himself. He usually painted himself as a boy in his paintings and Gala was always above him. She was usually a Saint or something grand like that. Like in Dali's painting, I usually have someone that crosses paths with me in my dreams. It always changes though from day to day. Usually this person is someone that I knew as a child or went to school with at some point in my life, sometimes even a random person that I only know through conversations on My Space (WTF?!?!) or through other people but have had enough conversations with them that I "know" them. These people in my dreams are/were never a key player in forming the person I am today. I never speak to this person or people in my dreams. They are just there. Sometimes walking through, sometimes sitting in a chair but never interacting with me. Strange isn't it? I have yet to figure out why this happens or the meaning behind it. All I know is that it has been happening for years. Hopefully I will figure this out one day, possibly in a dream. Here's a picture of Dali and Gala.
