this weekend was bizarre and ended poorly. Colbs left the garage door open for about an hour and my racebike and her mountainbike were stolen. a part of me wants to ring her neck. I don't so much as care that I don't have the bike as i care about the fact that it was built specifically for me by my friends in OKC and I paid for the brand new seat, bar tape, shifters and brakes with what little money I had at that time.
I don't get stealing. I can tolerate quite a bit. But I don't have compassion for thieves. Never have. Makes me very angry.
I'll have to get the serial number tomorrow and call all the bike shops. I doubt it will make a difference - but I have to do it.
On a better note, I bought 2 new books today - Miracles and The Great Divorce - both by CS Lewis. I think I'l start reading. Goodnight all.

Most likely the bikes are gone forever. But calling the bike shops would be a good move. I have heard of people having there bikes stolen, and then the thief brings the bike into a shop for a tune up a couple of days later. Thieves are not too bright, usually. I keep my bikes indoors hanging on the wall...
that sucks about yr bikes. i know the feeling. it's happened to me twice now. finally i learned my lesson and now i keep them indoors...
hope your week gets better!
