For lots of years I wasn't interested in photography of people, I don't know why. A few months ago I rediscovered that taking pictures of people could be fun. Until then I just avoided any kind of photography involving direct interactions with people.
Now I think it's great, because you can learn a lot from yourself, as well as a lot from people you're shooting. Every model has a different background, a different way of modelling, and your duty as a photographer is trying to adapt it to the idea you've got in mind. Sometimes you know the model, and you've got a clear idea of what you can expect, and other times you know little about them... and everything is a surprise. This is something I don't mind. If I have to change my plans, I do. This is the greatest thing about taking pictures just to myself. I do what I want. I just try to enjoy the whole thing.
