DAYS 5 & 6 - BILBAO
Yesterday I had a problem involving me jumping from a fortress wall. There's a place called La Galea, it's some kind of small fortress in Getxo. It was ruined and now they're fixing it. I didn't know it, I just saw it and stopped to take some pics. I asked the workers if there was any problem if I entered the place to take pics. They said it was ok. After half an hour I realize I'm alone in the place. And the door is closed. I'm not sure if they forgot I was inside, or if they're the biggest motherfuckers on earth. I look over the wall, and I see a moat surrounding it. You can imagine a guy on a wall looking for a place to escape. Now I know how the monkeys feel in the zoo... At the end I found a place the jump was slightly over 2m. Well, luckily I wasn't hurt. Photography is such a fun hobby!!!
I decided to stay in Bakio these days and pay a deep visit to Bilbao and surroundings.
Bilbao has been my platonic love for these last years. This is my fourth visit to the city. The previous ones were of the tourist kind and not to take pics. But the charm has gone. I loved Bilbao when it was full of unused warehouses next to the river mouth. Now they're building things everywhere. I know those buildings were useless, and now there'll be Burger Kings and malls all around, and lots of happy people in them... But they fucked me off, I came here just to take photos of them!!! Now Bilbao seems to me another city without soul.
It's like when you discover that the beautiful girl next door you're absolutely in love since you're 13... thinks you're a strange guy because you read, and she has fucked with all your friends... Terrible...
I'm not telling you Bilbao is ugly and doesn't deserve a visit. I mean, I won't marry her, but she's still worth a weekend of wild sex. Visit Bilbao and get an opinion of your own
Well, at least the city's packed with beautiful girls... But this is something usual in all city or town in Spain. Well, with the possible exception of Torrelavega.
Luckily the smaller towns around Bilbao still keep lots of old factories!! I'll try to take some pics tomorrow...
