I love photography. It's just a hobby for me, but I'm really spending lots of time right now taking pictures. It has the artistic part and the social aspects. Until a few months ago, I just used to hate to photograph people. I used to hide when someone asked me to photograph her/him. Now I love it and I try to photograph as much people as I can.
Photography can also be considered a sport. I'll explain it better. The other day in Alicante we were chased by a whole gipsy clan!!! There was a gipsy camp near the place we shoot some of the pictures. When they saw us, they began to shout at us, and then we decided better to run. It was a good choice!!! I highly appreciate not to have things stuck in my body, and also not loosing blood or being hit by stones. These thing may have happened to us if we stayed longer there.
Luckily we weren't taking the pics with the car yet. It happened that when we turned it off, it was impossible to turn it on again, so we had to shoot right there. The mechanist who let us use the car didn't know what was happening, and when we ended we had to push the car 3 kilometers after the session...
The boss of the car shop also offered his car. I declined, one sport car was enough. The next day I was told that he just wanted to have pictures of his car with two beautiful ladies is swimwear... He is a fun guy!!

I've been taking pictures in Barcelona one moment, and a minute later I found myself running in Barcelona being chased by a group of drug dealers. As I spend lots of time taking pictures in the street, this has happened to me a couple of times. I also used to have problems in the beach when taking pictures after a storm. The day after a storm the sea returns lots of things: rings, watches... There's people who goes to the beach to search this stuff, and they don't want cameras around. These days are specially good for surfing, and I use to be in the beach then. Now they are almost friends of mine.
I love these funny things that happen when you spend this amount of time in the street!!!
Surfing was not as good as I expected. Smallest waves and lots of sideshore wind. Anyway I had two really fun baths, and took lots of pictures, about 2GB of surfing stuff. It was the first time I visited that zone, and it's funny how surfers behave when someone with a big tele zoom is taking pictures in the beach. We are so exhibitionist!!!
When you go to a new beach, you can do some new friends. The same people usually surfs in the same beaches, so when a stranger appears they talk to you to check your intentions. Some places are called "secret spots", and all kind of information about its locations are highly protected. That way these spots remain less crowded. But when you're gentle and respect local surfers, everything's usually ok.

Hmm..I've been taking pictures ever since I was big enough to hold a 110-instamatic. Over 25 years later and I STILL don't like taking pictures of people, ha ha ha.
