So I'm working on a new quilt, three to be exact. These are going to be bigger, badder and better than the last.
One is for the AQS (American Quilting Society) right here in Grand Rapids. The contest is open until May 7th, and the grand prize is $10,000.
Another one is sponsored by Swarovski Elements. The first place prize is $3,500, a $3,500 gift basket containing Swarovski Elements, "Create Your Style" merchandise, and (this is what I really, really want) a PFAFF quilt expression 4.0 sewing machine
And last but not least, one called "Memories Of My Childhood". First place receives $2,500 non-purchase cash prize, round trip airfare to International Quilt Festival 2012 in Houston, and hotel accommodations. I'm working on the design for this one right now. I've chosen a Alice in Wonderland Theme. It was something that was super prominent in my childhood.
This is what I have so far for the Create Your Style one. I'm estimating there will be at least 230 pieces to this quilt.

I haven't figured out what I want to do for the AQS one yet. Any suggestions?
