Wednesday Intellectual Conversations: On Trust
J: Sure, relationships should be serious but they should also be fun and relaxed and based on trust.
K: Nothing in life is ever just there, miraculously present. Even a life has to come from somewhere. How can we expect any difference with trust? Trust comes from somewhere. Just like a house, a life, a love; trust has to be built. Expecting something to just be is a dangerous road to travel.
J: Once a house is burned down, it also takes time to rebuild.
K: It will never be rebuilt if you just move to a new one. What once was there will always remain in the ashes of despair; waiting. You may have found a different house. You may have thought it too hard to rebuild the one you once loved. Why rebuild something you already put your sweat, blood and tears into? But, you will always miss your old house. You will always question as to whether it was wiser to move than to rebuild. You will always remember how you gave up on something you once cherished. Someone may even build a new home there, but every time you drive by, you will see the house that used to be there and you will wonder, reminisce - remember.
BTW: This is my new favorite song.
