First off, I would love to say how much I love my home state of the symbolic mitten - Michigan. I was driving late last night and I was reveling in the wonders of the rural back roads, and all the glory of my childhood. How is it being in an area that truly holds no significance can bring back an onslaught of memories? A simple smell can bring a flood of emotion coursing through your body, making you miss a loved one you haven't thought about in years? Well, driving I thought about my childhood living in the country - chasing rabbits, building not only forts - but cities in our acres of woodlands with my sister, exploring the infinite swamps, catching snakes and scaring our poor oma, and everything that brought me joy from being outside. I rolled down my windows and greatly enjoyed the sensory pleasures of my childhood on my way back to the big ol' city. Oh, how I miss being a littlie and enjoying the carefree bliss of childhood.
My sisters and myself at my oma's where I grew up. I miss this place soooo much!!! (You can see Bacon out back in the right corner. She is such a precious swine! She loves to play with my dog Mercury)
Enough of my nostalgia for one second. (I'm sure more is to come!)
Today has been another day filled with baking, baking and more baking - don't forget a photo shoot in preparation for Mardi Gras. How exciting! I haven't even had a chance to look at them all
How sad?!

There's more from where that came from
Today has to be one of the funnest days ever! I really have to thank Mitch for all the entertainment while baking and decorating. I forgot how much fun it can be with another person!! I enjoy baking - a lot, and I have no quabble on doing it on my own, I usually prefer it, but it was nice to have the fun and interaction of sharing my interests all the while listening to delicious Christmas music.
How could you not enjoy this beauty? I love Zooey Deschanel (speaking of a Deschanel, I'm totally watching all 6 seasons on Bones! Can you say yum?
Here's a sneak peak picture of right before our shoot. Now I'm going to get to it.
Again - Happiest of Holidays!
Frohe Weihnachten!
