My First Job

When I was 15 I met my oldest daughters father, never went home, and started working.
I started working for Mommer's Diner as a hostess and waitress. It is still to this day the best job I've ever had. It was a quaint little diner in a small town called Brunswick. Everyone knew everyone and we were all family. I worked here till I was 17 and had my daughter. Then returned after I was healed up. For a small place in a small town, the diner was always a hotspot. We were directly next to a train station and the only place that served Icecream of every flavor. It was a fun busy place. I've had a strong love for waitressing ever since working there. The interactions I had not only with locals, but with travelers from all over, was so amazing.
I still remember the smell of the bacon and egg sandwiches Mommers would make me everyday. Simple food right? NO! Never have I been able to make my sandwiches taste the way she did. The sausage gravy was to die for, the country fried steak was the big hit that also ended up a weekly dinner special that people traveled to the diner for.
Oh did I mention this was home cook meal style diner? And nothing and no one could ever compare. I swear to that.
The best part was the owner Mariam AKA Mommers. She became a mom figure to me and boy did she put her foot up my ass whenever I fucked up. I also worked with her daughter Missi, a mouthy pain in the ass just like me... We all lost touch, until this year, our kids somehow ended up in the same school! I recently found out Mommers is fighting cancer and although it's breaking my heart, she's one of the toughest ladies I have ever met in my life.
After about 3 yrs I left due to my relationship fail but it wasn't long before I came back to the town and also back to the diner. I was pregnant with my second daughter and was told they needed help. A day after I was released from the hospital(after delivering my munchkin) I started working there again but things went sour, I left, and the diner closed down. :(
I ramble every time I do these...
