Hooray for fun days!
So I never realized how much I *adored* reptiles. Nevr, that is, until the Reptile Expo-thing that toxii and I went to today!
And I bought a gecko! <3
She's amazing. And adorable.
Here, for your enjoying pleasure, are some of the neat-o things I saw today:
Painted box turtles!!!
Halloween crabs!
Baby iguanas!
Crazy looking "wax" tree frog!
Pythons!
Baby monitor lizards!
Baby peninsula cooters! (turtles, pervs...)
Some crazy looking Egyptian lizard!
BABY TIGER!!!!
Frog belly!
Geckos galore! This is where my gecko came from...

wonder why there was a tiger there though...
technically those crabs arent reptiles either, theyre in a different phylum and really all they share in common is that they are animals with well defined tissue layers, three germ layers and organ systems...or so i learned in bio lab. wow i actually found a use for that info, haha.
reminds me of the frog skeleton that i had to learn a few parts of. whats cool is that their sekeleton really is well designed for jumping, a few bones fused together and an extra supporting bone. evolution is so neat.
