My net died for a long time. Too long, terribly long. Was a very odd experience, particularly as it failed after I'd finished my essays were due and, after my exam was done, I had about two weeks of kicking about the house with nowt to do.
What have I been up to? Reading. Going out. Playing too much Zelda: Wind Waker, and Prince of Persia II, and Burnout: Revenge. Eating yummy korma and strudel and pork pies and nice things like that. Starting new lectures on new topics with old lecturers who are awesome. Seeing Eve again and chatting to her.
There were a few night's out, to Fruity and If and the Cockpit, the latter with Alastair and Matt and Kitty and Lucy, and nice times were had, if at some cost. I saw Nightmare of You (bad), Gym Class Heroes (OK) and Fall Out Boy (grand, very active) live. A couple of mental aberrations, moments of fraught mental debate under the influence of drink and darkness and so forth. A lot of laughs, and some moments of quiet introspection.
Watched a lot of DVDs. Finally watched the Devil's Advocate, a DVD I received from Lizie (or Lotte?) about three years ago, maybe more. Good film. Also Slackers (good), The New Guy (great), Igby Goes Down (fantastic), Me Myself and Irene (entertaining) and many more.
Been listening to the Epoxies a lot. Glad to have my music back, I missed it. Also enjoying Sun Kil Moon, and bought a couple of new albums by Alexisonfire and Distillers that I didn't have on CD yet. There were a few moments of seeking fingers and questing minds, but nothing of major note.
Laura's birthday was fun, then Spencer appeared and surprised me, so he and Elaine and I went to the Townhouse and drank many drinks and talked about many things, old and new. A wonderful time.
Dancing, drinking, dorking out. We have two TVs in the lounge now so we can play PS2 and Gamecube at the same time. Geek house, fer sher.
All so jumbled, the little bits slip through the cracks. I still have to talk about Switzerland, and some things I've written, and so on. Watch this Space.
It's nice to be connected again.

I've also been on a big punk kick recently. Kid Dynamite, the Epoxies, Minor Threat, Nomeansno and Dillinger Four can all receive my hearty recommendation. Makes me want to shave my head (or not).
In other news I got my haircut by the fine ladies at hana lee (30% student discount, woo!) and have thoroughly rinsed my overdraft. The budgeting that should have started three years ago begins now.
That having been said, I'm seeing Dragonforce with Lucy on Monday which should be interesting, and I might borrow a fiver from a friend so I can see the stunning Jeniferever on February 1st.
Signing off, for now.
