Magic Johnson has had AIDS for 14 yrs! What is the fuckin deal with that? I just saw him on the tonight show looking as alive and well as ever despite having spent basically a decade and a half "dying" of this terminal affliction. Now I'm not saying this gives credence to any AIDS-deniers or anything but, if nothing else, it proves how messed up america is. There is apparently treatment, some medication, which Magic must be taking, which enables a person afflicted with AIDS to function normally and live an extended life, at least extended within the context of the disease. Since everyone else is dying of AIDS like flies I can only conclude that this cure or medication or treatment or whatever have you, is expensive otherwise he would not be the only person of notoriety to have lasted this long with it. Millions a year die from Aids in Africa, many of whom are children born with the virus totally undeserving of thier cruel fate. It's become so common place that they've gone so far as to introduce an HIV positive Sesame Street character, which i suppose is a good thing. Anyways, i'm just dwelling on the fact that millions of ppl die of aids every yr in Africa but celebrities in America with money to give to the pharmaceutical companies, not to sound like Tom Cruise or anything, can keep living comfortably and indefinitely. But then again maybe it's more just that no one in a position of power in the western world gives a flying fuck about Africa sad though it is. Maybe i'm just pissed off that some jarhead celebrity can afford to fuck skank cheerleaders behind his wife's back, contract the worst case scenario, death-sentence venerial disease, and not die accordingly whereas i'm forced to bag it up beforehand.
