So I work in an arcade. I suppose it goes without saying that I'm not in it for the glory. Then again, I'm not really in it for the paycheck either. So what does that leave? Simply the kicks. Strange though it might seem to few of you, working in a 24hr arcade is often, in fact, entertaining. Nothing too exciting, just your run of the mill punk kids, bar stars and vagrants. Occasionally I have to deal with crazies. For every fight I get to see, I probably receive a couple of threats from random drunks. Same goes for money; for every buck I somehow lose, I likely find a couple. Then there is also the handling of the bills and coins and all the filth associated with them. I often think I'm on some never ending quest to wash my hands. Oh well! C'est la vie. At least it beats working with your back and being sore at the end of every day.
