Is it strange to not want to celebrate your birthday? Every year I get all anxious and worked up over my imminent b-day only to find myself disappointed or severely hung over. Add that to the fact that a great many of my closest friends have either recently moved away or are, for whatever reasons, missing in action. I know I could leave it up to someone to throw a party for me; and an ex already offered her place up for my would be party but I'm just not having it. All but a couple of the people I want to party with are absent and I despise partying for the sake of it especially with superficial friends. Well that's not true....but I hate faux-celebrations which is what I feel going out clubbing would be. I suppose it's worth mentioning that I'm not very big on club-hopping either. Burnt out that appetite at too young of an age. Alas. I am kinda interested in renting a hotel room at the hot springs out of town and enjoying their amenities for a couple days. I guess I already have my mind made up. I'm just hoping that a certain someone doesn't find me lame for not wanting to go out and get sloppy. I doubt I have anything to worry about but hey, have to voice my insecurities somewhere. Where better than here?
